Your Final Portfolio assignment is your opportunity to showcase all your best and favourite learning from this course. It will be composed as a post published on your blog and will demonstrate explicitly how you met the learning outcomes of the course.
Learning Outcomes
As a reminder, the learning outcomes for the course, as published on the syllabus are as follows:
Structure
Your post should make it very easy for me to find evidence that you met the course outcomes. That means that you may want to consider using the individual outcomes above as headings in your post followed by specific examples of your work in the class linked in your post. So yo need to tell me what you did, and how that meets the outcome.
This means that you will need to do some interpretation of the learning outcomes. You have some freedom to decide what the learning outcomes mean in your particular context, which may vary from learner to learner. This doesn’t mean that you can decide that the learning outcomes mean something that is not supported by the plain meaning of the language, but you should contextualize the outcomes to your situation.
You also need to talk about ideas, concepts or skills that you struggled with. What didn’t make sense and how did you work through those difficult areas.
Requirements
You must:
- describe how you met each outcome.
- link to evidence of your work that supports your claim you have met the outcomes.
- discuss and address the challenges you faced.
- link to all references within your post. This includes other learners’ posts, things in Brightspace, articles, books, or other resources from the library, websites that we used and talked about, etc. (I will check links.)
- include a reference list.
- publish a blog post of 1200-1500 words, supplemented by media examples (e.g., daily create artifacts) that you have created during the course.
- end with a description of how your learning in this course could assist you in your future career, future courses, or your life in general.
